Community, Healing, and Coaching

A Different Kind of Work was inspired by my own difficulties finding suitable employment in tLogoFinalhe midst of illness. I created a unique platform for others to find, share, and combine skills to create job opportunities and help each other in times of need.

JoHomar

Jo Homar at Bountiful Blessings, LLC is a phenomenal resource for spiritual development. In addition to one-on-one and group in-person and distance sessions, she also hosts her own radio show and posts a number of insightful articles.

UnityI love Unity’s free prayer request service. They also have a number of powerful inspirational resources on their website.

JamieI came across Jamie Rautenberg of The Daily Infusion fairly recently. I know she would have also been a great resource to have in the earlier stages of my healing journey! She has healed through her own personal journey with chronic Lyme disease and provides holistic life coaching to assist others on their paths to wellness. Jamie is available via phone or Skype.

HealinginHarmonyI found a sense of community at the Healing in Harmony Center in Glastonbury, CT. The center offers free healing nights the second Wednesday of every month as well as a number of classes in spiritual development and healing.

MELT No Pain, All GainThe MELT Method® uses a system of gentle rollers to address chronic pain, rehydrate connective tissue, and eliminate the “stuck stress” in your body.I used MELT as a starting point to re-acclimate my body to exercise during my illness. What I like most about the MELT program is that it’s simple and takes only a few minutes to complete. While I wasn’t always able to perform the full body treatment during times when my symptoms were very severe because of balance & coordination issues, I could usually at least incorporate the hand and foot treatment into my daily routine. I noticed my body feeling more at ease with MELT from the first time I tried it and plan to incorporate into my life going forward as a simple health-maintenance technique.

Vitamix for Lyme disease recovery My Vitamix helped me to increase my nutritional intake with foods I may not otherwise eat and in quantities that I may have difficulty digesting during my recovery. The Vitamix is easy to use and clean so on days where my energy was low, I could still make a healthy meal in minutes. If you’re interested in purchasing your own Vitamix, click the image to the left. While their machines are on the expensive side, I’ve found mine to be worth every penny thus far and see it as an investment in my health. I use it almost daily, was instantly impressed with the machine’s power and precision, and noticed an improvement in my health. With the included cookbook featuring hundreds of recipes & a generous warranty as added bonuses, I’ve been able to easily justify the price and would highly recommend this to anyone.
